"HBD to one of the world’s greatest singer songwriters & someone we feel so privileged to have as part of our family. Happy birthday," wrote Devraj Sanyal, CEO of Universal Music Group and EMI Music in India and South Asia. "With Folklore & Evermore you have set an impossible bar but one that will go down in musical history & remembered for years."

"What must it be like to grow up that beautiful? Happy birthday queen," a fan tweeted.

"Wishing your day is filled with so much joy & love @taylorswift13, Happy Birthday my queen! #HappyBirthdayTaylorSwift," another user wrote.

"Happy 31st birthday @taylorswift13! As always, it’s been a pleasure growing up alongside you. Thank you for sharing your stories, your music & your life with us. Cheering you on forevermore #HappyBirthdayTaylorSwift," a third netizen said.

On Friday, Swift dropped her second album of 2020, titled “Evermore.” The album received positive responses from various outlets, including Variety and Rolling Stone magazine, whom Swift thanked on Twitter.

"Speechless over this. Thank you @variety," she tweeted Saturday.

In another post, Swift revealed that she initially wasn't planning to release another album, but it just happened because they couldn't stop writing songs. She decided to release as a treat for her fans.

"I wanted to surprise you with this the week of my 31st birthday. You've all been so caring, supportive and thoughtful on my birthdays and so this time I wanted to give you something! I also know this holiday season will be a lonely one for most of us and if there are any of you out there turn to music to cope with missing loved ones the way I do, this is for you," Swift wrote.

"I have no idea what will come next," she continued. "I have no idea about a lot of things these days and so, I've clung to the one thing that keeps me connected to you all. That thing always has and always will be music. And may it continue, evermore."
