Taylor Swift continues to dominate the music world with her newest album “Folklore” as it topped the Billboard 200 chart for the sixth consecutive week. In the process, the singing sensation has become the second female artist to spend the most number of weeks at the top of the Billboard 200.

Swift has spent a total of 46 weeks at the numero uno position with all of her seven chart-topping albums, Billboard first reported. She is now tied with iconic singer Whitney Houston, who has also spent the same number of weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. Adele claims the third spot with 34 weeks at No. 1 among female artists.

The media outlet cited Nielsen’s Music/MRC Data to reveal that the album earned 90,000 units in the U.S.

With “Folklore’s” sixth week at No. 1, Swift has become the second artist in the history of music to have at least five albums each with six weeks at no. 1. The Beatles were the first act ever to achieve the monumental feat.

Meanwhile, “Folklore” has also become the leading album of 2020 in terms of rankings. The “Bad Blood” hitmaker’s newest venture surpassed Lil Baby’s “My Turn” for the most weeks at No. 1 in 2020.

In August, the 30-year-old musician became the first artist in history to spend 40 weeks at the numero uno position on the Billboard Artist 100 chart. The album sold over 846,000 units in its first week and instantly marked the biggest week for an album that was released in 2020.

The album received universal acclaim from the critics as well as the audience. “Folklore” has a critic rating of 88 on Metacritic and has a 9.5 user rating on the site.
