Teen Arrested For Sexual Assault Of Concordia University Wisconsin Student In Dorm

An 18-year-old student of Concordia University Wisconsin was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a fellow-student in a dormitory where the latter lived.

The complaint obtained by Fox 6 stated that the victim was working on a class project and the accused, Kevin Williams, was watching a movie and studying at the dorm when he allegedly touched her inappropriately. She then "had to use a lot of strength" to get his hands off her. The accused then allegedly pushed her to the floor and sexually abused her.

Shortly afterward, the victim alerted the police and an officer was dispatched to the university on Nov. 5. The officer met the alleged victim and noticed "bruising" on various parts of her body.

After an initial inquiry, a search warrant was executed at Williams' dorm on the campus. According to the media outlet, Williams "pulled away and tried to get away" when the arrest was made.

The complaint stated that as the accused was being walked to the police car, "his behavior accelerated where he began to pull away again and yell "help" throughout the hallways as he was escorted out of the building. Williams then had to be maneuvered into the squad car as he refused to get in."

He was eventually taken into custody and faces multiple criminal charges including second-degree sexual assault, strangulation and suffocation, and resisting an officer.

Following his arrest, Concordia University issued a statement saying, "The university does not tolerate behavior that violates our high standards and values. We take the allegations against this student very seriously and are cooperating fully with local law enforcement, while also pursuing the full measure of our Student Code of Conduct. At this time, due to privacy laws, we can only confirm that this individual is enrolled at our institution. We will continue to engage closely in this issue in partnership with law enforcement and will provide additional information as we are able."

Russell Jones, Williams' attorney, told Fox 6 that his client "is adamant that he was not involved. That he did not rape this girl [sic]. He has not been involved in anything like this before. Has no record [sic]."

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
