Just days after Taylor Swift's stalker took a plea deal on charges he tried to break into her Manhattan townhouse, the pop singer dealt with another criminal incident Tuesday, after a driver of a stolen car crashed into the gate of her beachfront Rhode Island home.

Shykeim Edwin Lewis, 19, of Hartford, Connecticut, was in the vehicle with three other occupants but was the only person charged, reports the Westerly Sun. Lewis faces several charges, including engaging police in a high-speed pursuit.

He allegedly stole the car in Hartford and was chased by police from the Rhode Island town of Hopkinton around 1 a.m. He then crashed while driving at a speed of about 35 miles-per-hour.

Along with two of the other passengers, Lewis had to be taken to the hospital, all of whom faced non-threatening injuries.

Swift was reportedly not home at the time of the crash. There has been no comment from Swift or her representatives.
