'Teen Mom 2' Might Be Cancelled After Season 5
The girls on MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” might have shared their final stories with viewers through the lens of reality television. According to a source from Radar Online, “TM2” will come to an “abrupt end.”
“There is no season 6 of ‘Teen Mom 2,’” a production insider said. “Season 5 is the girls’ last season.” It would probably sound shocking to many fans, who have watched Leah Messer, Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska and Jenelle Evans go through some interesting ups and downs. But apparently, the producers at MTV wanted the cult hit to exit on a high.
There is some good news, though. The fifth season of “Teen Mom 2” has supposedly been extended, almost as if the cast will get a chance to say a final goodbye to their viewers. A different insider told Radar Online: Though it is not season six, per se, it’s pretty much another season. The girls already filmed a reunion for ‘season 5′ but this season is technically ‘season 5b.’”
All the other girls have had other children come into their lives after their first baby from “16 and Pregnant.” Houska’s ex Adam Lind just had another child making Aubree a half sister. Evans is currently pregnant with her boyfriend Nathan’s baby. Messer had a child with her husband Jeremy Calvert and Lowry had a child with her husband Javi Marroquin.
According to The Stir, Lowry just revealed Marroquin, who is a member of the United States Air Force, would be leaving their family to go to Texas for one-month to train at Sheppard Air Force Base.
“Teen Mom 2” currently airs on MTV every Tuesday at 10/9c.
