‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Jenelle Evans Plans To Include Childhood Diary Entries In Her Tell-All Book
Jenelle Evans is following in the footsteps of her “Teen Mom 2” co-stars. The MTV reality star previously announced she’s planning to write a tell-all book about her life and now she's finally revealing what the upcoming project will include.
While Jenelle’s long criminal history and six seasons on MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” docuseries would most likely be enough to fill an entire book, she recently revealed her plans to include some childhood relics in her autobiography. “It’s going to be basically an autobiography of my life,” she told OK! at the publication’s Runway Read New York Fashion Week party, as noted by Starcasm. “I’m including 10 of my childhood diaries in it.”
Does that mean “Teen Mom 2” fans will get some insight into her childhood with her mom and co-star Barbara Evans? Let’s hope so!
Jenelle announced to Wet Paint in April that she was planning to release a tell-all. She told the publication her book would touch on her pre-MTV days, behind-the-scenes drama, her experiences at rehab and where her life is now.
“It’s an autobiography of basically me before ’Teen Mom’ when I lived in Pennsylvania and then when I migrated down to the South,” Jenelle revealed to the website. “It has all the details from before filming, behind the scenes, when we took breaks in between, and stuff like that. Basically a tell-it-all book.”
Jenelle, who at the time said she did not have a title for her book, shared that she was hoping telling her story would make it easier for people to relate to her. “A lot of people judge me on TV. They love me or they hate me,” she said. “And I just want them to see that I had a rough life growin’ up. I would like to share my experiences with them and hope they can relate to my story. Hopefully they can see the truth to some of the rumors that [have] been out there in the past or currently.”
Jenelle is not the first “Teen Mom 2” star to release a book. Kailyn Lowry released her memoir, “Pride Over Pity,” in April 2014. Her children’s book, “Love is Bubblegum,” debuts Nov. 17.
All four stars from MTV’S original “Teen Mom” series, “Teen Mom OG,” have released memoirs. Farrah Abraham was the first cast member from the show to release a book. Her autobiography, “My Teenage Dream Ended,” dropped in August 2012. Following a stint in prison, Amber Portwood released “Never Too Late" in August 2014. Catelynn Lowell and now-husband Tyler Baltierra shared their life experiences in their March 2015 memoir “Conquering Chaos.” Maci Bookout was the last cast member to share her life story in print, releasing “Bulletproof” in July.
