“Teen Mom 2” star Leah Messer opened up about her upcoming memoir and children.

Messer will be releasing her memoir “Hope, Grace, & Faith” soon. She opted to write the book to set the record straight and hopefully inspire other young mothers like her.

In an interview with Amelia Edelman of Yahoo! Life, she shared some details about the book. She was also asked about the reception of the book among her family and friends.

“Mine generally hate it when I mention them in my writing, too,” Messer said with a laugh. “At first, when things started, there were a few articles that had leaked, and I didn’t get to speak on them first, and it caused a lot of anxiety for me… Like, oh, shoot, I’m not even saying anything yet and people are angry! My mom, it was super hard for her to actually read my book — acknowledging where she was and where she’s at now, and how far we’ve come as a family. We are in such a great place now; back then, it was hard.”

Messer also mentioned the fathers of her kids in the book. According to her, she has a good relationship with her ex-husbands, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert. In fact, she is co-parenting with them. Simms is the dad of her twins Aleeah and Aliannah Hope. Meanwhile, Calvert is the father of her youngest daughter, Adalynn.

Messer said that she is quarantining with her girls. At home, they do little things online, yoga, dance and TikTok to keep themselves active.

Messer added that her girls still sleep with her on her bed. Sometimes she encourages them to sleep on their own beds, but they apparently don’t like it.

“One day I’m going to miss them not sleeping with me. If I had a spouse it would be different, but I don’t so we all sleep together,” Messer added.

In her upcoming memoir, Messer admitted that she aborted her first baby with Calvert. She said that she was devastated that it would end her chances to be with Simms again.

She also admitted to an opioid addiction and how she had suicidal thoughts. She decided to seek help when she noticed herself thinking of committing suicide because she didn’t want to leave her daughters.
