'Teen Mom' Maci Bookout Slams Ex-Boyfriend Ryan Edwards In Memoir 'Bulletproof'
“Teen Mom OG” star Maci Bookout isn’t with Ryan Edwards, the father of her son, Bentley, any longer and she explained exactly why in her first memoir “Bulletproof.” The young mother, who is known for her Southern charm and fiery read hair, also gave a glimpse at what it is like to be a young mother and how she has achieved her personal goals.
Some of the juiciest outtakes from the memoir had to do with her ex-boyfriend. For instance, on the day their son was born, Ryan, 26, had partied too hard the night before. "Bless his heart, but he was hungover. Like, the dying kind," she wrote, according to Radar Online.
That wasn’t Ryan’s only shortcoming. When their son was first born, he allegedly didn’t spend time with him and found excuses to not be home. His absence left Maci feeling “very, very lonely” and she wasn’t surprised when her ex-boyfriend started to date other women.
The only time he enjoyed being a father was when he got recognized for his role on “Teen Mom.” "The dads who appeared on the show got a lot of attention…and it was the kind of attention that made it seem a lot more fun to be absent as a boyfriend and a dad," Maci, 23, claimed.
But she would not be broken. “This is the true story of how she took charge of the unexpected to build a life for herself and her son Bentley, and managed not to go crazy in the process,” the Amazon book description reads. “Because sometimes growing up is an act of will…and Maci’s will is bulletproof.”
“Bulletproof” is available on pre-order for $14.65 for hardcover and $9.99 for Kindle. It will debut in bookstores on Tuesday, July 21.
