‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Amber Portwood Wants Co-Star Farrah Abraham To Be In Her Wedding Party
Amber Portwood denied that she is planning to film her wedding for a TV special on the “Teen Mom OG” reunion earlier this month, but it appears her nuptials won’t be without a few television stars. Amber has revealed she wants her long-standing co-stars by her side when she ties the knot to fiancé Matt Baier.
When asked to describe her “dream wedding” during an interview with MTV News, Amber, 25, said it would involve her three “Teen Mom OG” co-stars, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Farrah Abraham. “Of course I want all the teen moms, all the girls, to be my bridesmaids,” she said. “I mean, they have to be a part of it.”
While Amber’s decision to include controversial “Teen Mom OG” star Farrah is surprising, fans shouldn’t expect the sex tape star to receive a big role in Amber’s wedding. According to the MTV star, she is planning for her cousin and best friend Krystal to serve as her maid-of-honor.
“She’s the closest person to me. She’s like my best friend,” Amber said of her family member.
As for who will serve as her flower girl, In Touch Weekly reported in April that Amber had her heart set on her daughter Leah, 6, taking on the role. However, the magazine also reported that Amber was considering having a “TV wedding” with hopes MTV would foot the bill, a claim which Amber denied on a recent episode of “Teen Mom OG.”
Amber confirmed her engagement to Matt, a 44-year-old Boston native, in March. His proposal to her was featured on a May 4 episode of “Teen Mom OG.”
This will be Amber’s first marriage. She was engaged to Leah’s dad, Gary Shirley, in 2009, but they never wed. Gary welcomed a daughter, Emilee Grace, with girlfriend Kristina in April.
