‘Teen Mom OG’s’ Tyler Baltierra Admits Holiday Struggle Amid Catelynn Lowell’s Treatment
Tyler Baltierra admitted to having a tough time on Thanksgiving without his wife, Catelynn Lowell, by his side. His admission comes days before a new season of “Teen Mom OG” premieres on MTV next week.
On Thursday, MTV shared a sneak peek at the new season of the reality series to Twitter. The clip features the lead stars of the show gushing about what they are thankful for, which is very timely considering that the video was uploaded on Thanksgiving. While the teaser exuded a very positive vibe, Baltierra couldn’t help but feel terrible knowing that his wife won’t be with him and their kids for Thanksgiving.
Baltierra took to Twitter to react to the snippet. “My god! My wife looks absolutely beautiful in this #HappyThanksgiving @TeenMom clip! It’s going to be a rough holiday without being able to kiss her & tell her how thankful I am for her, but we have a strong resilience crafted by our past, we got this!”
Fans quickly reacted to Baltierra’s post and most of them expressed their sympathy to the struggling husband. “Tyler you keep strong & cat will be home as good as new,” one fan wrote. “You are such a supportive husband and great father. Keep doing what you’re doing. Others can learn a few things from you,” another commented.
Baltierra’s touching words came after it was reported last week that the Lowell was getting professional help for having suicidal thoughts. At the time, the MTV personality revealed the harrowing news on social media. “Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment,” Lowell tweeted.
Lowell also updated her Instagram for what she had planned to do amid her treatment. She shared a picture of a stuffed animal horse belonging to her 2-year-old daughter, Novalee. She captioned it: “Well Nova buddy is coming with me… and I’m gonna hold it close to my heart the whole time.”
At the time, Baltierra expressed how proud he was of his wife for taking the necessary steps to remedy her problem. “Incredibly proud of my wife… when she thought she had no choices left, she reached out & decided to LIVE today! My life would be desolate without her in it.”
Baltierra and Lowell tied the knot in 2015 after years of dating. Lowell has been known to struggle with mental health issues throughout her time on “Teen Mom OG,” as per Us Weekly. The reality TV actress previously suffered post partum depression, which was chronicled in the show’s sixth run.
