A female teen that does not know her identity was found in New York City two weeks ago and a search for her family is underway.

The girl referred as Jane Doe is aged between 14 and 17-years-old, is soft spoken, is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, is white and has short blond hair.

I just want to know who I am. I want to know who I am and what happened to me, the girl said in a statement released by the New York City Administration for children's services.

The girl was found outside the Coventant House youth shelter and was interviewed by police after a security guard found her unresponsive.
