Teen Prepped By Doctors For Boob Job Suffers From Irreversible Brain Damage

A teenager from Colorado may be tied to a bed for life after an alleged boob job went wrong. She was being prepared for the surgery when she suffered from a cardiac arrest.

According to NYPost, the family is blaming the doctors who were handling the procedure. Emmalyn Nguyen was slated to undergo a breast implant surgery when her heart stopped. In fact, the surgery was not commenced because she was no longer conscious.

The doctor whom the family is accusing is Dr. Geoffrey Kim and Rex Meeker, the nurse anesthetist. They were the ones who prepared Emmalyn for the procedure. She was allegedly on the prep table for 5 ½ hours before an emergency call was made.

David Woodruff, the lawyer of Emmalyn, stated that while the girl was without a heartbeat, they didn’t even say anything to her mother, who was in the waiting room. No one bothered to inform the mom even though five hours have already elapsed from the time that she was administered the anesthesia.

Staffers at the Colorado Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery administered CPR to revive the girl, but it was to no avail. It was only when they called the medical emergency number that the girl was given proper medical attention.

Emmalyn decided to undergo breast augmentation in order to improve her image. She decided on this course after graduating from high school.

According to the lawyer of Emmalyn, the procedure should have been a “standard procedure” turned into a nightmare. As per the family, they were informed that Emmalyn was fine and that everything was good. They were even assured that Emmalyn was fine since she was young and healthy. It was just it’s taking a bit long for her to wake up.

Now, the family of Emmalyn is suing the doctor and the nurse anesthetist for gross negligence. Emmalyn, in the meantime, may not have the chance to live a normal life again. She is bedridden, couldn’t talk, most of the time sticks out her tongue, and is squirming, as though in pain. Her parents are just aghast about what happened to their daughter.
