A 14-year-old boy raped a six-year-old girl after luring her to his house by promising to give chocolate. The incident took place in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

According to local reports, the victim was playing outside her home when the accused, a grade eight student, convinced her to come to his house on the pretext of giving her a chocolate. He then took her to the roof where he raped her.

“The family of the accused is known to the girl and her family. We have booked the accused under IPC sections 376 (Rape) and POCSO Act. The girl was sent for medical examination and the report has confirmed that she was sexually assaulted by the accused. Doctor also confirmed that her condition was stable,” police said.

Speaking to local daily the Times of India, another police officer said, “The accused had a habit of checking certain pornographic content on his phone and he indulged into this habit through his friend. He committed the crime possibly because of excessive anxiety. Such videos are easily available and young men often fall prey to these contents.”

The accused was sent to a juvenile home.

In a similar incident in Malaysia earlier this year, a 12-year-old boy raped a four-year-old girl several times after being aroused from watching porn. The victim returned from nursery and complained about pain in her private parts. Her mother took her to a nearby hospital where the doctors confirmed that the girl was raped. The mother then went to the nursery and spoke to the babysitter and her son, who confessed to the crime.
