‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5 Spoilers: Will Coach Be Replaced? Orny Adams Announces Exit
“Teen Wolf” is going to have to get another teacher at Beacon Hills High. Orny Adams, who plays Coach Finstock, will not appear in “Teen Wolf” Season 5, according to Hypable.
Adams has been with “Teen Wolf” since Season 1, but he is typically a secondary character. At a “Teen Wolf” convention in California on Saturday, Adams revealed that scheduling conflicts led to his departure. He’ll be focusing more on his comedy career and has several comedy shows scheduled in 2015.
So will Scott (Tyler Posey) be getting a new lacrosse coach? As of right now, it isn’t clear. While lacrosse is sometimes a huge part of the series, it also takes a backseat while Scott and his friends investigate killings and fight bad guys. After disappearing for a large portion of Season 3, the sport came back in a major way in Season 4. It could be time to take a break again in Season 5.
While Beacon Hills might not need a new lacrosse coach, they’ll probably need another teacher. Kira’s dad (Tom T. Choi) and Lydia’s mom (Susan Walters) are pretty much the only educators who haven’t been killed or turned evil at this point. Also, the show will need some comedic relief. Coach provided plenty of hilarious anecdotes while his students were brooding about saving the world.
If “Teen Wolf” Season 5 finds a new actor to step in as a coach, they’ll be in good company. The show has added several characters for Season 5 including a new wolf named Theo (Cody Christian) and two gay characters, Corey and Lucas.
“Teen Wolf” Season 5 is filming, but a premiere date has not yet been announced. Do you want to see Coach replaced or should lacrosse not be shown until Adams can return? Sound off in the comments section below!
