‘Teen Wolf’ Spoilers: What Happened In The Season 3 Finale? Recap Before The Season 4 Premiere
Season 4 of "Teen Wolf" will premiere on Monday at 10 p.m. EDT. And if you think you’re ready for the drama that Jeff Davis has in store for the return of the hit MTV series, you may be in for a shock. Rumor has it the new season of “Teen Wolf” is going to leave you howling for more. But instead of us jumping into what to expect in episode 1 of the fourth season (which you can read here), let’s recap where “Teen Wolf” left off when Season 3 concluded in March.
The Stiles-centric season had us growling in our seats when the show killed off not one but two main characters. Both Allison Argent (played by Crystal Reed) and Aiden (Max Carver) were brutally murdered by stabbing by the time the third season ended. But with their deaths came life as Kate Argent (Jill Wagner) made a shocking return in the Season 3 finale of “Teen Wolf.”
Kate rose from the grave angrier with Derek than before as she shot him in “The Divine Move.”
“It’s real,” Derek gasped, as his recurring nightmare became a reality. “You’re real.”
The reason fans were just as shocked as Derek is that we were there when Kate had her throat ripped out by Peter's bare hands – or should we say paws? But the fatal scratch didn’t kill her. Instead it turned her into more of a threat than the werewolves could have predicted.
“Enter the were jaguar @MTVteenwolf,” Wagner tweeted the night Season 3 aired.
As Derek stood there dumbfounded at her existence, Kate revealed her true, blue colors – literally.
“And if seeing me is a surprise … watch this,” she said to him as she transformed into a creature we’ve never seen before. The animal she became featured a blue face, black lips, fangs, green eyes and a serious hatred for Derek.
Fans can expect Derek and Kate’s storyline to continue when Season 4 begins. According to reports, Scott and the gang will be heading to Mexico to try to rescue Derek from Kate’s clutches.
During the Season 3 finale, the “Teen Wolf” characters had little time to grieve over Allison’s earlier death due to all the Nogitsune nonsense occurring. The Oni, which was under control of the Nogitsune, was violently destroying anything and everything in its path – that is until four silver arrows pierced the creature, killing it. It was during this battle that Aiden was killed and left to die in his brother’s arms.
Meanwhile Scott and Kira were attempting to take out the Nogitsune with the knowledge they learned of the supernatural entity. They ended up capturing the Nogitsune, which took the form of a fly after his vessel disintegrated, in a wooden Nemeton container. Let's hope no one accidentally opens it or they’ll have a Pandora’s box situation on their hands.
