‘Ten Days In The Valley’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis, Trailer
Jane must find PJ in next week’s episode of “Ten Days in the Valley.”
According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 2 of the ABC series, Jane (Kyra Sedgwick) goes on a desperate search for her drug dealer PJ (Mark L. Young) after seeing security-camera footage of him staking out her house.
At the end of the series premiere, Detective Bird (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) showed the said footage to Jane. But when Bird asked if Jane knows something about PJ, the TV writer claimed that she has never seen the kid in the bike before.
Apparently, Jane had to lie to Bird about not knowing PJ because she doesn’t want anybody to find out that she’s doing drugs. If it’s made public that she’s using drugs, then it’s is definitely going to affect her job as well as her custody arrangement with her ex-husband Pete (Kick Gurry) over their daughter Lake (Abigail Pniowsky).
In addition, Jane might have also lied about not knowing PJ because she’s worried about him. When PJ brought Jane a sachet of cocaine, it’s pretty evident that the two have some sort of friendship. PJ knows that Jane writes for television, while Jane knows that he’s an aspiring writer. In fact, PJ even gave Jane his blessing to use his idea for a scene she’s currently writing.
Whatever Jane’s real reason was for lying about not knowing PJ, Jane has to find him before the police do.
Elsewhere in episode 2, Bird learns the truth about Lake’s nanny, Beatriz (Marisol Ramirez). The day after Lake was kidnapped, Beatriz called a man named Leo (Sal Velez Jr.) on the phone and told him to find a key. While it’s unclear whether the said key has something to do with Lake’s disappearance, Beatriz looked dead serious about retrieving it.
Also in the upcoming episode, Pete, Ali (Erika Christensen) and Tom (Josh Randall) canvas the neighborhood trying to find Lake.
“Ten Days in the Valley” Season 1, episode 2, titled “Day 2: Cutting Room Floor,” airs on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC. Watch the trailer teasing the rest of the season below:
