Tennessee Titans vs San Diego Chargers : Where to Watch Live Online Stream, Prediction, Betting Odds, and Preview for Sunday?s NFL Game
Aiming to snap an eight-game losing streak to San Diego, the Tennessee Titans travel cross-country to battle the Chargers Sunday afternoon at Qualcomm Stadium.
The game begins at 4:25pm eastern time and will be shown by CBS, or watch a live stream online by purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket Max.
Tennessee has lost eight-straight games to the Chargers, and will have to play better than their 34-13 blowout to the New England Patriots in Week 1.
Quarterback Jake Locker, who injured his shoulder but will play Sunday, had two turnovers including a fumble returned for a touchdown by New England rookie Don't'a Hightower. Locker went 23-for-32 for 229 yards and one touchdown.
Locker tried to tackle Patriots safety Patrick Chung from returning another fumble and injured his shoulder. Veteran Matt Hasselback replaced him, but the Titans offense still struggled.
Tennessee running back Chris Johnson had 11 carries for four yards on the ground, as New England stuffed the box to stifle his breakaway speed.
Both Locker and Johnson should be grateful, as wide receiver Kenny Britt will return Sunday after serving a one-game suspension. Before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament last season, Britt was on pace to be one of the most dominant receivers in the NFL.
The Chargers offense didn't fare any better against the Oakland Raiders, but squeaked out a 22-14 win.
Quarterback Philip Rivers led San Diego on five drives for field goals by kicker Nate Kaeding, and the Chargers reached the end zone once on a 6-yard pass from Rivers to receiver Malcom Floyd.
Rivers went 24-for-33 for 231 yards, and managed the game well with no turnovers, after throwing 20 interceptions last season. Floyd made four receptions for 66 yards.
The Chargers defense, led by linebacker Donald Butler and safety Atar Bigby, forced three sacks and five hits on Oakland quarterback Carson Palmer, and is completely healthy heading into Sunday's game.
San Diego running back Ryan Matthews was out last week and remains out Sunday. Tight end Antonio Gates is listed as questionable, but practiced Friday and is expected play.
Tennessee linebacker Colin McCarthy has been ruled out, and so has reserve running back Javon Ringer.
Betting Odds: San Diego is favored by 6 points.
Prediction: San Diego threw many short passes as they worked in a new left tackle against Oakland, but could look to open up the passing game Sunday. The Titans have to get Johnson moving, and throwing to Britt early should open up some holes for the speedy back. Assuming Rivers has another game without turnovers, the Chargers should prevail in a close game.
Predicted Score: San Diego 24, Tennessee 20
