  • Terence Crawford described "New" Ray Robinson as an "attention-seeking female" in a recent Instagram Live
  • Robinson responded saying he is tired of Crawford's trash-talk
  • The welterweight contender challenged Crawford to settle their feud "like men" inside the ring

Following Terence Crawford’s rant about "The New" Ray Robinson on social media, the welterweight contender is now calling out "Bud" to settle the issue inside the ring "like men."

The tension between former rivals Robinson and Crawford is growing, and the former has been calling out the undefeated welterweight champ for the past two months. Crawford, 32, recently took a jab at the 34-year-old, describing him as an "attention-seeking a-- female" in an Instagram Live video.

In response, Robinson exclusively told The Ring that he has had enough of Crawford's trash-talking and cast doubt on the champ’s claim of being the most avoided fighter in the world.

"I’m getting tired of Bud acting like he’s the most avoided fighter in the world. I don’t know why he said that," Robinson told The Ring on Saturday. "He complains all the time about guys not wanting to fight him and this and that. Now we’re seeing guys call him out and that’s his response?"

For Robinson, Crawford is the one ducking as he attempts to protect his flawless pro record.

"He’s comfortable sitting behind his unbeaten record and Top Rank paychecks without having to fight fierce competition," he added.

Ultimately, Robinson sent both Crawford and his promoter, Top Rank boss Bob Arum, a message. The Philadelphia native urged Arum to send him the contract and told Crawford they should settle their feud by finally facing each other inside the ring. Having been able to beat Crawford in the amateurs, Robinson appears eager to secure a win in the pros this time.

"He doesn’t need to worry about my losses because he never gave me one; I gave him one. Tell puppet master Bob Arum to send the contract. If Crawford is interested in fighting, he knows where to find me. Let’s settle this like men in the ring," Robinson pointed out.

According to Robinson, he nearly got the chance to face Crawford last year, when he fought then-WBO no. 1 ranked contender Egidijus Kavaliauskas, a two-time Olympian from Lithuania. The winner of the fight was supposed to get a shot at Crawford. However, the fight ended up in a 10-round majority draw.

There were speculations that Crawford and Arum are having a money dispute, which could possibly be the reason for his inactivity. However, the Hall of Fame promoter denied there was such an issue.
