Teresa Giudice Heads To Prison; Daughter Gia Tweets About Feeling ‘Blessed’

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice reported to a Connecticut prison on Jan. 5 at 3 a.m. local time, Entertainment Tonight reports. The reality-TV star will serve 15 months in the minimum-security facility for fraud, but it seems like her 13-year-old daughter, Gia, is trying to look on the bright side. She posted a message on Twitter to let her followers know how grateful she is for the people who support her.

Gia, the oldest of the four Giudice children, has been keeping herself busy with her band, 3KT. The group is reportedly filming a pilot for a potential reality show focusing on the girl band. When she hasn’t been tweeting about her music, Gia has been sharing a lot about her personal life of social media. She tweeted photos with her mother on Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Her tweets haven’t been entirely optimistic. She tweeted "can't sleep, to (sic) much on my mind" along with a nervous face emoji and gun emojis on Jan. 3, according to People. The tweet has since been removed from the account. Gia now seems to be leaning toward more positive posts, retweeting a supportive message from bandmate Cristianna Cardinale.

The stress of having a parent in prison won’t end when her mom gets out. After Teresa finishes her 15-month sentence, Gia’s father, Joe, will begin his 41-month sentence, also for fraud. The judge arranged the prison sentences so that one parent would always be home with their four daughters.
