A 31-year-old man from Texas arrested for filming and selling child pornography online has confessed to victimizing almost a dozen minors.
The cops in Dallas arrested and charged Germond Miller with the sexual performance of a child under 14. Miller also faced charges of possession of child pornography and aggravated sexual assault of a child. But, the possession and assault charges were not included in the jail record on Thursday evening, according to the Dallas Morning News.
"Miller provided a full confession and admitted victimizing 10 girls by filming, producing, and selling child pornography over the last six years," the Dallas Police said in a news release.
The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a cyber tip that Miller was uploading child pornography to internet sites. An investigation by multiple agencies including North Texas ICAC Task Force, the U.S. Secret Service, and the Dallas Police Department’s Crimes Against Person’s Operational Support Team began on Oct. 14.
Officials discovered Miller filming himself sexually assaulting a child under the age of 8, said police. He had been profiting from child pornography films for the last six years.
Authorities realized that Miller had easy access to a child. It made finding and arresting him a high priority for the police, according to CBS-affiliated KTVT.
The joint team searched for Miller over two days before locating him in Irving. He was arrested during a traffic stop by the Irving Police department.
"This extraordinary teamwork led to the arrest of this child predator," the police added.
Miller was booked into the Dallas County jail on Wednesday and his bond is set at $250,000.
In a similar incident, a Florida man was sentenced to 60 years in prison for producing and distributing images and videos of himself sexually assaulting a minor on the internet. The man was arrested after he shared one of the clips with an undercover officer. Investigators found 79 videos and 12 images depicting sadistic abuse, bondage and torture of minors.
Police are asking victims and people with information about possible victims of Germond Miller to contact the North Texas ICAC Task Force at 214-671-4281.
