Texas Roadhouse Shooting: 6-Year-Old And 3 Others Shot, Suspect At Large
Police officials from San Antonio, Texas, responded to a supposed shooting at a Texas Roadhouse in the 2800 block of Cinema Ridge on the northwest side. The shooting took place Sunday night around 10:00 p.m. EST.
A spokesperson representing the San Antonio Fire Department said four people were injured during the incident and were taken to University Hospital.
According to a report in ABC-affiliated television station KSAT-TV, two of the victims have life-threatening injuries. A six-year-old boy was reportedly shot in the leg, but did not have grave injuries.
Police officials also confirmed all the four victims were related. They are calling the shooting an act of “family violence.” Reports stated the suspect, a black male who is still at large, approached the family and shot them with a semi-automatic handgun as they waited to be seated at the Roadhouse. The suspect later fled.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the investigators do not believe it was a random shooting.
No further description of the gunman was available as yet as McManus said the current information the department has was "vague."
Though the officials have the surveillance footage of the shooting, they are still struggling to identify the gunman as he was apparently wearing a bandana at the time of the incident.
Apart from this, other people who were present at the time on the scene were treated on-site for anxiety.
This is a developing story. Please stay tuned for updates.
