Teyana Taylor became the subject of much body envy after Kanye West unveiled the video for “Fade” during the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The “Flashdance” inspired visuals show the Harlem native dancing, pumping iron and stripping down with her beau Iman Shumpert, but it’s her physique fans can’t stop buzzing about.

During a recent interview Taylor — who welcomed her first child less than one year ago — revealed the key to looking as good as her. The 25-year-old told E! News she’s not big on working out. In fact, the only real physical activity she does is dance. Sources close to Taylor confirmed her non-workout stance, telling the publication that she’s “always just had a crazy dope body.” Additionally, the shoe designer maintains a fairly unhealthy diet according to E!’s insider.

“Eating healthy is not her thing. She is the kind of girl that eats donuts and candy for breakfast,” the source said. “She just doesn’t gain weight.”

In addition to questions about Taylor’s fitness routine and diet plan, fans were curious about the underlying message in “Fade.” More specifically, why Taylor’s face takes on cat-like features toward the end of the video as she is shown posing alongside Shumpert in a crowd of sheep and a baby. Pitchfork sat down with Jae Blaze, noted choreographer and art director, about the “Fade” video in an interview released on Monday. Blaze praised both West and Taylor, calling the “Famous” rapper a “genius” and Taylor “superwoman.” She added that the closing scene in the video is meant to convey Taylor’s “fierceness” as well as her “rise” to stardom in recent years. Blaze again uplifted Taylor, telling Pitchfork how amazed she was with all she’s done to date.
“I think the vision behind that was how amazing Teyana is, and how she’s been on the rise, and how she’s working, and you are now seeing her blossom into this fierce lioness, this fierce cat. She has worked her way into that, and she’s in a great position right now in her life. She has her family. She’s being held down by her amazing husband. She has a beautiful daughter,” Blaze said. “You know, the lioness always protects her baby. I think it really is about her coming into her fierceness. And that’s where she is in her life right now. She is blossoming.”

West premiered the video during the 2016 VMAs. He took the stage for four uninterrupted minutes, during which he touched on a wide array of topics before cutting to the video for “Fade.” West talked about his feud with Taylor Swift, which links back to the controversial lyrics for “Famous,” as well as his idols and America’s gun violence problem. He shared a heartbreaking story with the crowd about a young man who approached him to share fears about being the next young man to be shot by police. West also shouted out wife Kim Kardashian West’s ex-boyfriend Ray J and his own ex, Amber Rose.

“I see you, Amber,” he said.
