Thanasis Antetokounmpo has just signed a guaranteed two-year, minimum contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. The NBA team earlier announced that the 6-foot-7 forward would join forces with his younger brother Giannis in the upcoming season.

Bucks general manager Jon Horst said that the Greek Freak's older sibling is a "young player that has a great experience" playing overseas. The addition of the elder Antetokounmpo will add length and athleticism to an already stacked Bucks team.

Thanasis may not be as famous as Giannis, but several NBA scouts are raving about his toughness and high basketball IQ. He played the last two seasons with Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and helped lead the team to back-to-back titles.

He was cited as the Greek Basket League's Most Spectacular Player for the 2017-18 season. He played for the Greek Basket League and EuroLeague the next year and averaged 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 55 games.

The 26-year-old forward also played with Andorra of Spain's Liga ACB. He averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 34 games for the Spanish team.

In 2014, he entered the NBA Draft and was selected as the 51st overall pick in the second round by the New York Knicks. He played for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA G League in 2013-14. He only played two games for the Knicks in 2015 and ended the season as a member of the Westchester Knicks up until 2016.

Thanasis averaged career highs while playing for the G League. He tallied 12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals in 141 games as a member of the 87ers, and Westchester Knicks. He was included in the G League All-Defensive Team selection for two seasons, and he earned Second, and Third Team honors in the successive years.

Last Sunday, The Milwaukee Bucks honored Giannis' 2018-19 MVP season. Fans crowded the plaza outside Fiserv Forum to catch a glimpse of their most valuable player.

Giannis did have an unusual request at the event. He said that he doesn't want to hear his fans call him MVP. He added, "Don't call me MVP ... until I win it again next year."

The Greek Freak had a great campaign last season that won him the Most Valuable Player Award. The Bucks were one series away from competing in the finals until they ran against a resilient Toronto Raptors squad led by Kawhi Leonard. He averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 72 games during the season.
