When it comes to stores and restaurants being open on Christmas Day, the pickings are slim, but there will be some chains that will still be operating locations.

If you are in need of toiletries, emergency over-the-counter medication, coffee, or even some holiday meals, here is a breakdown of some of the places that you can head to.

CVS

CVS stores nationwide will be operating at normal hours from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It is unconfirmed if the pharmacy will be open.

Rite Aid

Most Rite Aid stores will be open, but it will vary by location. Hours are expected to vary by location as well. It is unconfirmed if the pharmacy will be open.

Starbucks

If you are in need of some coffee on Christmas Day, most Starbucks locations will be open. Open stores will vary by location, and hours will vary as well.

“Store hours vary by location and stores may occasionally adjust their hours based on business and customer needs,” a spokesperson told Parade.com. “We recommend customers look for specific store hours using the Starbucks app or by visiting our website store locator.”

Walgreens

Walgreens will be open but will have reduced hours, which will differ by location. It is unconfirmed if the pharmacy will be open.

Dollar Tree/Family Dollar

These stores tend to stay open on every major holiday, including Christmas Day and Christmas Eve. Customers can expect normal hours of operation for the majority of locations. This makes Dollar Tree and Family Dollar a good stop for last-second items.

Denny’s

Denny’s has made a commitment to stay open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This includes Christmas Day.

McDonald's

Some McDonald’s restaurants will be open but they will vary by location and most likely have reduced hours.

“Join us Christmas Day at select locations for a traditional, delicious plated holiday meal. You can also pick up a Feast for 3 or whole pies and hot side dishes,” Boston Market said.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill

Marconi Grill will be open Christmas Eve: 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and on Christmas Day: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., according to their website.

IHOP

Some IHOP locations will be open, but hours will vary.

“IHOP will be open on Christmas this year, but guests should check with their local IHOP as hours will vary by location,” a company spokesperson told Parade.com.

Buca di Beppo

Buca di Beppo will open at 11:00 a.m. on Christmas day.

“Make a reservation at one of the best restaurants for Christmas lunch or dinner and we’ll make sure your holiday is festively fun,” the company says on their website.

Fogo de Chao

All Fogo de Chao locations will be open on Christmas day from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., a spokesperson told Parade.com.
