Thor: Ragnarok
The Hulk’s (Mark Ruffalo) rise to become a well-respected fighter in the intergalactic gladiator arena will be explored in “Thor: Ragnarok.” Marvel

When Marvel provided a sneak peek of the Hulk’s (Mark Ruffalo) majestic bed in “Thor: Ragnarok” at the Gallery of Modern Art in Queensland, Australia as part of the “Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe” show last June, people freaked out.

The bed wasn’t what made out of regular wood or plastic, but it appeared to be the very shape of the jaw of some kind of monster. To give fans a preview, the images of the bed were shared by Australian journalist Belinda Seeney on her Twitter page.

Now, Ruffalo is providing the backstory of the bed. Ruffalo told Cinema Blend that the Hulk, the most respected fighter in the intergalactic arena, actually had to earn the rights for his sleeping arrangement.

“We had to basically figure out what happened, how he got there. He was captured like Thor was - that’s how he knows Valkyrie, and she becomes his coach along the way. He becomes the champion, they love him. He ends up beating the beast that the bed was made out of. That's the previous champion! He tore him in half, and made him his headboard. You do all that,” he said.

The Hulk fled Earth after realizing how his rage destroyed everything around him, but Ruffalo said his character has come to better grips with his temper in “Thor: Ragnarok.” Due to this, Ruffalo guaranteed that fans will be quite impressed with his character when they see him. “He’s much more of a character than the green rage machine you’ve seen in the Avengers movies,” Ruffalo told Entertainment Weekly. “He’s got a swagger. He’s like a god.”

He will be helping his fellow Avenger, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), as he reclaims Asgard from the goddess of death, Hela (Cate Blanchett). They will also be getting some help from Thor’s half-brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who is always hellbent on causing mischief. But due to Hela’s power, Loki will be forced to team up with the Avengers in order to survive the destruction she will bring at her wake.

“Thor: Ragnarok,” which is directed by Taika Waititi, will be released on Nov. 3.
