One person was killed and three others were injured in New York City in a shooting Wednesday evening inside Irving Plaza, near Manhattan's Union Square, where hip-hop artist T.I. was scheduled to perform, police said. According to reports, shots were fired before the 35-year-old rapper took the stage.

The victims were three men, one of whom died, and a woman, according to reports. No arrests have been made yet and the motive behind the shooting was not immediately clear. Police have sealed off the area around the venue.

According to witnesses, people panicked inside the concert hall when the shots were fired. The representatives for T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., have not responded to any questions regarding the shooting, BBC reported.
