Tiger Woods quits Chevron tournament amid affair, crash scandal
Tiger Woods has pulled out of the Chevron World Challenge in California following his car crash on Friday.
Wood's announcement comes amid many extra-marital affair rumors with Rachel Uchitel, a Manhattan club hostess, and as police investigates if Wood's wounds are result of his Friday car accident or were caused by his wife as a result of a fight, TMZ.com reported.
TMZ reports Tiger Woods wounds inflicted by wife, not accident.
Wood's withdrawal will likely avoid TV cameras and media seeking for details about his car crash.
Police had still not been able to interview Woods as he declined to meet investigators over the weekend, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a statement today, Reuters reports.
The golf champ has hosted the Chevron tournament for nine years. He pulled out today citing injuries he suffered in the car accident outside his Orlando house.
