Tiger Woods Won’t ‘Waste’ Time Reading Haney’s Book
Tiger Woods responded to reports that his former swing coach Hank Haney is publishing a book about their time together, and he's not exactly thrilled.
I think it's unprofessional and very disappointing, especially because it's someone I worked with and trusted as a friend, Woods told ESPN.com. There have been other one-sided books about me, and I think people understand that this book is about money. I'm not going to waste my time reading it.
The Big Miss: My Years Coaching Tiger Woods will be published by Crown Archetype and released on March 27. The 2012 Masters tournament begins the following week.
And on that note: I just think this book is very self-serving, the golfer told ESPN.com.
Haney denied that the book would go into Woods' philandering, famously made public in November 2009.
It's something you can't NOT talk about it, Haney told The Associated Press. My last tournament was the Masters, and that was his first tournament back from the scandal. I didn't know anything about the girls. That's not something I could specifically comment on. Everything I comment on is what I observed and the facts I knew. I didn't know anything about that.
