Tila Tequila News: Rehab to Follow Suicide Attempt

Tila Tequila is headed to rehab after a bizarre medical emergency that appears that is believed to have been a suicide attempt.

Tequila's manager Gina Rodriguez told The Daily News that the reality star was headed to a Miami-based facility, but did not divulge exactly what she was being treated for. Tila continues to recover and is doing better. We ask that her privacy is respected during this difficult time, Rodriguez told the paper.

RadarOnline reported that Tequila had been hospitalized after accidentally overdosing on heavy prescription drugs last week after experiencing symptoms of an apparent brain aneurysm which caused her to think irrationally.

Tequila reportedly consumed two bottles of an unspecified prescription drug. Tila threw up all over her bed after overdosing and felt like she was dying. She was screaming for help, and in desperation, broke her bedroom window and attempted to jump out, a source told RadarOnline.

Finally a friend came over after getting a strange text from her and found her convulsing on the bed. He called an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital.

According TMZ, Tequila's roommate told police the reality star had tried to kill herself all week.

Tequila was reportedly released from the hospital on Monday, but was visited again by police later that night after her manager called for a wellness check. Tequila reportedly refused to open the door and called 911 to find out why authorities had come to her home. She then told the police that she couldn't come to the door because she was in a wheelchair.

Rodriguez confirmed to the Daily News that she called the police after attempting to check on Tequila Monday night.

The star of MTV's A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila has previously claimed to have multiple personalities. In June 2010, she blamed an alter by the name of Jane for injuring her arm and causing general destruction.

I don't know what happened. People don't believe I have multiple personalities but this morning the last thing I remember was falling asleep cuz I was so tired, Tequila tweeted.

I blacked out and now that I just woke up from excruciating pains all over my body, there was blood and dope everywhere! She is evil! She single handedly smashed and broke EVERYTHING in my bedroom! Both nightstands, the bed lights, all of the surround sound system, my tv boxes and there's glass everywhere. There's even chunks of meet coming out of my arm from the deep slits from her slicing up my arm from all the broken glass! My arm meet from inside is starting to bubble up and seep through the cuts.

Tequila was dating -- and claimed to be engaged to -- Casey Johnson when the Johnson & Johnson heiress was found dead by a cleaning woman on Jan. 4, 2010. Johnson was a diabetic, and the cause of death was later determined to be diabetic ketoacidosis, which can result from improperly treated diabetes.
