Electronic Arts had an interesting EA Play Live with the introduction of one of its best titles, “Lost in Random.” The game is developed by “Fe” developer Zoink and is one of three games labeled as “independently developed.”

According to Gamespot, the game is a third-person action-adventure game. Puzzles form a large part of the gameplay. According to the developers, this game explores a “coming-of-age” story with a gothic twist in it. Players control a young girl as they make their way through the world of Random, accompanied by a walking dice named “Dicey.”

The developers started by giving a brief overview of the game, after which, EA showcased the first trailer. The style of the game reminded viewers and players of the film “Nightmare Before Christmas.” The trailer also set the tone for the adventure, saying that “a dice” has been the basis for rule in the kingdom; the premise seems to be left entirely on the roll of a die.

That’s not all that has been presented at the EA Play Live 2020, however; according to IGN, from indie-studios to big name publishers, the event had it all. The event also introduced “Star Wars: Squadrons,” gave a peek into what a next-gen “Dragon Age” will look like, and announced that “Apex Legends” will be coming to Steam and the Nintendo Switch this fall.

“Star Wars: Squadrons” showed how the game will play in a trailer. It has a hefty goal – to become the “greatest Star Wars pilot game” ever. The trailer also showed fantastic new worlds, and at one point, seemed to show Admiral Ackbar talking to a Republic Pilot. The game’s HUD set-up was explained, while it was also shown that there are customization options for the pilots and the ships.

As for “Dragon Age,” it was only one of three games which EA Games teased with a next-gen treatment. “Battlefield” and “Need for Speed” were also teased, receiving next-gen treatment, and a new project by EA Motive was also introduced, likely to run on the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles.

“Apex Legends,” meanwhile, was revealed to be headed to Steam and the Nintendo Switch with full cross-play possibly happening for those on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A new collection, Lost Treasures, is also headed to the game. The limited mode ‘Armed and Dangerous: Evolved’ and ‘Crypto’s Map Room,’ a new area, are also headed towards these platforms.

With these revelations, it appears that EA has given gamers all the reasons to stay at home during the current pandemic.
