Tim Cook Announces Apple Card Fee Free 24-Month iPhone Payments
Apple recently introduced its latest program for Apple Card users. While it is not the Apple Prime subscription, the latest program is quite compelling as it allows Apple Card holders to finance their iPhone purchases for 24 months with zero interest. The program is intended for consumers who always upgrade their iPhone to the most recent model but usually seek their carrier to back their purchases.
At the recent Apple, earnings call for the Q4 2019, Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook shared the new feature that is arriving on Apple Card users in the latter part of the year, which is fee-free iPhone payments. With this program, customers will have the capacity to get their new iPhones using the Apple Card and pay it on a staggered basis in 24 months without any interest. Aside from that, the customer will still get the three percent cash back for the purchase, even if it’s not paid in cash.
So far, Apple has not yet revealed when exactly the latest Apple Card program will become available, but according to Apple CEO, it is coming this 2019. The Cupertino-based tech giant will likely launch the program ahead of the holiday season. The company is thrilled with the consumers’ reception of the Apple Card since it was launched in August, the CEO stated.
The Apple Card is the most successful launch of a credit card in the US ever, claimed the Apple CEO. The latest Apple Card program helps to pave the way for what many think will soon turn into a more significant subscription product for the Cupertino-based tech giant. Some are even calling it the Apple Prime, a moniker with reference to the Amazon Prime membership program that offers a wide range of perks along with free and fast shipping.
Additionally, the latest Apple Card program complements Apple’s iPhone Upgrade program. This s one way the Cupertino-based tech giant assists people in paying for the attest iPhone every year that includes AppleCare+. Moreover, Apple offers iPhone trade-in program that encourages consumers to upgrade to new iPhones at a much lower cost instead of buying a new phone.
