Tim Tebow Girlfriend: Katy Perry’s Mom Wants Her to Date NFL Star

As far as Hollywood rumors go, this one might take the cake. OK Magazine is reporting that Katy Perry's mother wants her daughter to become the girlfriend of Broncos quarterback, and budding superstar, Tim Tebow.

[Katy's] mentioned on more than one occasion how much she likes Tim, a source told OK! Magazine, as reported by Hollywood Life.

Katy's mom firmly believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again... In her mind, Tebow is the perfect guy for her daughter. He's handsome, charming, intelligent and above all, a good Christian. The source added that her parents, Pastors Keith and Mary Hudson, are trying to set up a meeting between their daughter and the NFL star around the same time they book Tebow to speak at their church, reports The Daily Mail.

Perry officially announced her divorce from husband Russell Brand on Dec. 30 after only 14 months of marriage. Her parents have been quite vocal about the split ever since.

While preaching at Church on the Rise in Westlake, Ohio, on Jan. 4, Perry's mother said, I'm sure Katy is trending on the internet just to get you to church tonight. I mean all over the world, who knows how God is bringing them in? The most important thing is you are here and God wants to put the fire in you in 2012.

Her father continued, What has taken place in my daughter's life has opened many opportunities to go in and be with guarded and gated people. God has given us a platform to go in and meet people -- and they like us because we are cool. We are not threatening.

The pop singer's parents would very likely rejoice over a potential son-in-law like Tim Tebow. Tebow is famous now for his devout Christian beliefs, his charity work and his good-boy ways.

Brand was quite different. A recovered alcohol and drug addict, Brand reportedly mocked Perry's religious parents. MTV UK reported that Brand made Perry upset for failing to control himself around her pastor parents.

A friend of the couple told the newspaper: Russ was forever making lewd jokes at the dinner table and poking fun at her parents' beliefs. He managed to restrain himself in the beginning - just.

But as the marriage progressed, he got worse and kept winding up her family. After the lust wore off, reality hit home about their differences and [Katy] was left thinking, 'What have I done?' the source concluded.

However, Perry surely will not be happy about her mother attempting to play matchmaker. The cheeky raven-haired beauty was perturbed when her parents spoke publicly about her divorce. She tweeted: Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family.

Rumors surrounding Tebow's personal life have circulated since the football star came into the limelight. This very likely might be another one.
