Tim Tebow: 'Maybe' I'll Do 'Dancing With the Stars'
Can you imagine Tim Tebow doing the Fox trot or the waltz? The Denver Broncos quarterback would like to compete one day on Dancing with the Stars, according to show champ J.R. Martinez.
Martinez told Celebuzz.com he and Tebow started talking about ABC's dancing competition while mingling at the Super Bowl in Indianapolis over the weekend.
I actually did come across Tim Tebow, and we chatted about [DWTS] for a second. I thought he'd do pretty well on the show, Martinez said.
Tebow may not put on the jazz shoes for some time, though.
He said, 'Maybe in a year,' the war veteran and soap opera star recounted. That's pretty much what he said.
Martinez isn't the only one who'd like to see the 24-year-old quarterback dance for the competition. Last month, Martinez's dancing partner Karina Smirnoff told People magazine she'd love to have Tebow as a partner.
He can run, jump, pass, through touchdowns, Smirnoff said. All [that] is missing is to see if he has the dance skills. That would make him an all-around athlete, and someone that I would love to dance with on the show.
Martinez and Smirnoff won the 13th season of DWTS in November. He said he went on the show to be an inspiration to burn victims, vets and other people with disfigurements.
