Rimuru Tempest learns the evil plot of Demon Lord Clayman to bring down his country in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Season 2, Episode 8. The new episode is called "Hope."

The official website has released spoiler stills and synopsis for the upcoming episode, which shows Myulan revealing Clayman's involvement in the recent attacks on Tempest.

Rimuru also finds out the Kingdom of Falmuth is eyeing to destroy Tempest. Amid the chaos, Rimuru lays in the depth of despair and that is when he hears the unexpected words of Eren.

In the previous episode, titled "Despair," Hinata launches Dead End Rainbow to kill Rimuru. Seeing himself cornered, Rimuru has no choice but to awaken Gluttony against the opponent. Hinata is shocked to see Rimuru's form, which is specialized for combat. It incorporates the traits of different monsters and objects. Moreover, Dead Rainbow fails to kill him, confirming this new form has no soul.

Later, Hinata uses her spell, named Disintegration, to completely destroy Rimuru's Gluttony. However, Rimuru was able to make a doppelganger of himself and retreat from the battle.

After retreating, Rimuru and Ranga decide to teleport back to Tempest. Notice tells Rimuru the specified destination is not found.

Apparently, Tempest has been isolated from the rest of the world by a barrier. Rimuru asks Notice to teleport them to the nearest location to Tempest.

Upon reaching Tempest, Rimuru witnesses the carnage and finds out the knights are behind it. Toward the end of the episode, Myulan opens up and reveals everything.
