Times Square security scare ends without incident

A security scare that led police to briefly evacuate three Times Square buildings including the Nasdaq stock exchange ended without incident on Wednesday, police said.

The police action was provoked by a suspicious van parked in Times Square but a search of the van found nothing dangerous, a police spokeswoman said.
