'Titanic' Hit's Theaters Again: 1998 Spoof Featuring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, And James Cameron
For almost nearly 14 years, Titanic was the highest grossing movie of all time. Now the classic story hits theaters on April 4th as part of the 100th anniversary of the famous ship disaster. The re-release of the 1997 hit film is causing some to relive key moments from the 90's! Buzz Feed has even listed all that was going on in the world when the film was released. From the music charts to current events, the state of pop culture was drastically different then.
The Oscar winning hit has spawned a variety of spoofs over the years. In 1998, Saturday Night Live and other popular shows parodied key scenes from the epic. At the MTV Movie Awards that year, Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn decided to pitch their idea for a Titanic sequel to director James Cameron. The hilarious clip shows the two confidently summarizing their ideas for Titani (aka Titanic 2).
