KEY POINTS
- "Titans" has been renewed for Season 3.
- Blackfire is the new villain.
- Donna Troy is expected to return.
“Titans” Season 3 has been confirmed by Warner Bros. and DC Universe. After the defeat of Deathstroke (Esai Morales) and foiling the plans of Cadmus Labs, the heroes will team up once again to deal with a new villain.
According to Screen Rant, the story in the next season will focus on the family problems of Kory (Anna Diop). The character has been struggling with dividing her time between the heroes and her family, and this time around there will be good reason for her to focus on her family.
Blackfire (Damaris Lewis) is back on Earth, and she has been revealed to be the next big villain the superheroes will face. The bonus scene in the Season 2 finale showed the transformation of Lewis’ character from a regular mom to the villain, as the alien substance latched onto her neck and eventually possessed her body.
According to TV Line, Lewis has been promoted to series regular in “Titans” Season 3. The fans will get to see more of the villain before the final confrontation against the superheroes.
The next season will also reveal the fate of some of the other characters, especially Donna Troy (Connor Leslie). The fans were not happy about the events about the character in the Season 2 finale, but there will be something exciting to look forward to on the show for Donna fans.
Rachel (Teagan Croft) was last seen trying to bring back Donna, and this storyline will play out in the next season. Leslie has also confirmed in a recent interview that the “Troia storyline” will be explored in the TV series, Screen Rant reported.
One of the themes of the show is about sidekicks becoming superheroes in their own right rather than living in the shadows of others. Donna becoming Troia will be a continuation of that theme in “Titans” Season 3.
