Celebrity blogging website, TMZ, reported Saturday that professional golfer Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident but they were rather inflicted by his wife Elin Nordegren.

Woods is expected to be interviewed Saturday afternoon by the Florida Highway Patrol on details of how the accident happened.

The golfer spoke from the hospital and confirmed he and his wife Nordgren had an argument before crashing his 2009 Cadillac sport utility vehicle into a fire hydrant Friday morning.

According to the report Nordgren scratched Woods' face in the heated argument and followed his car as he drove off hitting the car with a golf club.
