New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, the player confirmed today according to the Associated Press.

Brady confirms earlier reports about the birth from People Magazine, which cited anonymous sources.

This is the first baby for the Brazilian supermodel who married Brady in February in Los Angeles.

Earlier this month, Brady said he knew the gender of the baby but he said Gisele had preferred it to be a surprise, People Magazine reports.

Brady has a 2-year-old son with actress Bridget Moynahan.
