Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes Update: Is Cruise Planning Christmas With Daughter Suri Amid Rumored Custody Battle?

Amid rumors of a custody battle between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, a report has surfaced claiming that the “Mission Impossible” actor will spend Christmas holidays with his ex-wife and daughter Suri. However, Gossip Cop debunked the report saying that the news of a reunion was false.

According to Gossip Cop, OK! magazine reported that Cruise plans to spend two days with Suri and Holmes at the actress’ New York apartment.

“It’s the first time Suri will have seen Tom in months,” a source told OK!, according to the Inquisitr, adding that everyone is looking forward to the family gathering. The source also claimed that the plan was made by Holmes as she wanted to get along with her ex-husband even after a split.

“It was Katie’s idea for them to spend time together over the holidays,” the source reportedly said. “She sees how other celebrities manage to stay friends after separating, and she thinks it’s sad that Suri so rarely sees her father.”

However, a family reunion for Cruise doesn’t seem to be coming in the distant future. Cruise and Holmes got married in 2006 and divorced six years later.

Last week, Star Pulse reported, citing InTouch magazine, that Cruise and Holmes may be heading to court for the custody of their 9-year-old daughter after the actor planned to introduce Suri to the Church of Scientology. According to another source who spoke with InTouch magazine, Cruise believes his daughter is now old enough to understand the concept of Scientology. However, according to the report, Holmes was prepared to fight for her daughter’s custody if Cruise wanted to involve Suri in Scientology.

Last month, Cruise was reportedly “furious” with Holmes after she tried to humiliate him by apologizing to actress Leah Rimini following her "20/20" interview in October, where she disclosed details about some Scientology followers.
