When it comes to scheduling his fashion shows, Tom Ford likes to mix things up; one season showing in London, another in Los Angeles. This time around he chose New York during Fashion Week.
Most designers this week are showing their collections for spring/summer 2017. Here too Ford went against the grain choosing to show a collection for fall/winter 2016. In other words, buy-now designs that will be in store immediately.
The designer took over the recently closed Four Seasons restaurant for his presentation and invited his model muses and top celebrity clients to view. Consequently, it will be hard for any other front row crowd this week to match this one for sheer star wattage. At the elegant soiree, Ford's muses past and present included Iman, Naomi Campbell, Julianne Moore, Cindy Crawford and Uma Thurman. Zayn Maik and Jon Hamm joined Alicia Keys, Hailee Steinfeld, Ellie Bamber and Rita Ora to sit at tables and watch the show.
