Tom Sizemore Detained In Los Angeles on Battery Warrant
Tom Sizemore, an American film actor spent several hours behind bars Tuesday as Los Angeles police arrested him on an outstanding battery warrant.
According to the police Sizemore, 49, was arrested at around 1.15 a.m. local time after drug investigators raided a city center Los Angeles apartment building, according to Radar Online.
No drugs were found from Sizemore during the investigation, but police arrested Sizemore when background verification discovered that he was wanted on the outstanding battery warrant, the Los Angeles police spokeswoman said.
Sizemore was released from custody at 7:28 a.m. on Tuesday, after posting a bail of $26,000, according to the Los Angeles County jail records.
The Saving Private Ryan star with a role in TV show Hawaii Five-O is trying to make a comeback from drug addiction. But Los Angeles police on Tuesday visited him after an acquaintance stole a car and said that he was going to Sizemore's apartment.
The outstanding warrant against Sizemore was issued when he failed to turn up for a court date in August relating to a 2009 arrest for battery without sufficient excuse.
Sizemore, who is better known for his drug addiction than his acting, plays a character of police internal affairs chief on several episodes of the CBS cop series Hawaii Five-0 which starts next week, Reuters reported.
Sizemore has a history of domestic violence arrests and has spent years in an out of courts on drug related charges. In 2010, he also appeared on TV show Celebrity Rehab to beat the drug addiction.
In 2003, he was found guilty on domestic violence charges involving Hollywood Madame, Heidi Fleiss, who was once his fiancée.
