Fashion was a high point at the 2011 Marrakech International Film Festival attended by renowned actors, writers, and personalities from around the globe.
From Louis Vuitton to Issa, it was all about couture fashion, luxury, and elegance. American film and television actress Jessica Chastain opted for a peach crushed-satin V-neck cocktail dress from the SS 2012 collection by Louis Vuitton, while French star Cecile Cassel selected a classy look in a monochromatic black gown.
Conducted on Dec. 2 this year, the annual awards show held in Marrakech is one of the biggest events devoted to Moroccan cinema to reward the best Moroccan and foreign feature and short films. Chaired by Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco, the event also pays tribute to strong film personalities from different backgrounds.
Among those honored during the event were Italian director Marco Bellocchio, director Terry Gilliam, Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, American actor Forest Whitaker, and Moroccan actor Mohamed Bastaoui.
