Gainers
SINA Corporation (NASDAQ:SINA) shares climbed 4.66 percent to $61.55 in post-market trading. SINA Corporation, the online media company that runs China’s biggest micro-blogging service reported first quarter net loss of $13.2 million, in comparison to a loss of $13.7 million a year earlier. Non-advertizing revenues rose 17 percent to $27 billion.
ViaSat Inc. (NASDAQ:VSAT) shares climbed 3.66 percent to $62.00 in post-market trading. The company on Thursday reported a fourth quarter EPS of $0.19, $0.17 better than the mean analysts' estimate of EPS of $0.02. Revenues stood at $308.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $285.17 million. ViaSat also said it has executed a contract with Boeing (NYSE: BA) to build ViaSat-2, which is based on ViaSat's next-generation, Ka-band satellite technology and architecture.
Cerus Corporation (NASDAQ:CERS) shares surged 2.62 percent to $5.49 in post-market trading. The company shares gained more than 3 percent in regular trading on Thursday. The biomedical products company has a 52-week low of $2.68, a 52-week high of $5.43 and $372.98 million in market capitalization.
Oncothyreon Inc. (NASDAQ:ONTY) shares gained 2.54 percent to $2.02 in post-market trading. The company shares dropped more than 24 percent in regular trading on Monday after it announced the results for antigen-specific cancer immunotherapy with drugs L-BLP25 and PX-866. “The trial did not meet its primary objective of demonstrating a significantly improved OS with L-BLP25 compared to placebo in the primary analysis study population,” a press release issued by the company stated.
Ambac Financial Group Inc (NASDAQ:AMBC) shares advanced 2.32 percent to $24.22 in post-market trading. Equities researchers at BTIG Research assumed coverage on shares of Ambac in a report issued on Thursday, Stock Ratings Network.com reported. The firm set a “buy” rating on the stock.
Losers
Aruba Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) shares tumbled 16.58 percent to $14.69 in post-market trading. The company reported third quarter earnings of $0.11 per share, worse than the analysts' estimate of an income of $0.15 per share. Revenues for the quarter stood at $147.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $154.59 million.
Autodesk Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK) shares slumped 6.23 percent to $37.30 in post-market trading. The company reported first quarter earnings of $0.42 per share, worse than the analysts' estimate of $0.45 per share. Revenues for the quarter stood at $570 million versus the consensus estimate of $583.4 million.
Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:BRCD) shares declined 2.44 percent to $5.60 in post-market trading. The company reported first quarter EPS of $0.17, better than analysts' estimate of $0.15. But revenues for the quarter came in at $538.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $544.24 million.
Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. (NASDAQ:EGLE) shares fell 2.37 percent to $5.35 in post-market trading. The company shares gained about 54 percent in regular trading on Thursday after it reported second quarter EPS of $0.08, better than analysts' estimate of a loss of $2.10 per share. However, the analysts pointed out that the earnings included a onetime gain and adjusted earnings were in-line with the analysts’ forecast.
