Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (VTSS) shares climbed 9.59 percent to $2.40 in after-hours trading Tuesday. The company reported a third quarter income of $0.00 per share, better than the analysts' expectation of a loss of $0.03 per share. The revenue for the quarter came in at $30.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $29.65 million.
The shares of CSG Systems International Inc (CSGS) rose 7.58 percent in the post-market to close at $19.15. The company reported second quarter EPS of 56 cents, better than the analysts' estimate of 45 cents. The revenue for the quarter stood at $183.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $180.75 million. Priceline.com Incorporated (PCLN) shares slumped 14.83 percent to $579.00 in the post-market trading Tuesday. The company reported second quarter results beating analysts' expectations but gave a disappointing third quarter forecast. Excluding items, the earnings for the second quarter were at $7.85 per share beating analysts' expectations for $7.37 per share. The company gave the earnings expectations for the Q3 with a range of $11.10 to $12.10 per share excluding items, which is below analysts' expectations of $12.79.
Santarus Inc (SNTS) shares plunged 11.08 percent to $6.50 in the post-market trading. The company reported a second quarter EPS of $0.05, less than the consensus estimate of $0.08 by $0.03. The company announced that for fiscal 2012, it expects total revenues of approximately $200 million, net income of approximately $8-$11 million and adjusted EBITDA of approximately $24-$29 million versus analysts expectation of revenue at $199 million, net income of $11 million and EBITDA of $24 million for fiscal 2012.
Zillow Inc (Z) shares lost 9.60 percent in after-hours trading to reach $37.75. The company reported second quarter EPS of 4 cents Tuesday, compared to the prior year's break-even results. The company's quarterly profit fell modestly as the real estate website accounted for costs related to its acquisition of software start-up RentJuice Corp, Reuters reported.
