B&G Foods Inc. (NYSE:BGS) shares climbed 5.27 percent to $29.59 in post-market trading. The company reported first quarter net profit of $19.6 million or $0.37 per share, up from $16.8 million or $0.35 per share in the same period last year. Its first quarter net profit declined to $3.03 billion or $2.70 per share from $3.07 billion or $2.61 per share in the same quarter last year. Revenues declined 5 percent to $23.41 billion and also fell short of Reuters' estimate of $24.69 billion.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) shares declined 3.98 percent to $2.41 in post-market trading. Its first quarter net loss narrowed to $146 million or $0.19 per share from $590 million or $0.80 per share in the same quarter a year earlier.
