Cardiome Pharma Corp. (CRME) jumped 4.35 percent to $6 in the pre-market session. The company said its partner Merck (MRK) has confirmed the completion of the current review of vernakalant, an oral formulation for atrial fibrillation patients. Merck has informed its next steps in clinical development for vernakalant beginning in 2011. In April 2009, Cardiome and Merck announced a collaboration and license deal for the development and commercialization of vernakalant.

DepoMed Inc. (DEPO) climbed 3.74 percent to $6.65 in the pre-market trading.

Subaye, Inc. (SBAY) soared 3.40 percent to $10.05 in the pre-market session.
