From Planking and Owling Comes Hybrid 'Plowling' [PHOTOS]

It started as a simple trend: Planking. A game where a person lies down in the most obscure and dangerous places and then uploads their pictures onto the internet. From planking grew the phenomenon of " Owling," where people perch like owls on objects such as stair rails, statues, roofs in what seemed to be a slightly harder game. Just as people started running out of creative " planking" and "Owling" photos a new community page has been launched on Facebook; Plowling.

Google Motorola Bites Back with Patents, Apple Not Worried

After losing out in the titanic $4.5 billion bid for Nortel Networks against Apple and the gang of five, Google has resurged with its latest acquisition of Motorola. The search giant lost out in obtaining 6,000 patents from the Nortel deal, but the $12.5 billion Motorola purchase will make up for the loss with over 17,000 patents packaged in the deal.

KCET strikes $50 million deal

KCET, the former PBS station serving Southern and Central California, has entered a partnership with Eyetronics Media and Studios to produce and acquire new series, the companies announced Tuesday. Under the agreement, Eyetronics will provide up to $50 million in funding for the new programs, which will start production in the fall.

Facebook Lawyers Prove Ceglia's Contract Was Fabricated: Court Filing

Paul Ceglia, the wood pellet salesman from New York claiming he was a founder of Facebook along with Mark Zuckerberg, filed a lawsuit against Zuckerberg in 2010, alleging that they have signed a contract in 2003 that entitled Ceglia to half the company. A court filing on Monday suggests that an authentic contract found embedded in electronic data on Mr. Ceglia's computer did not mention Facebook at all. All it had was a company called Street Fax that Mr. Ceglia reportedly owned.
