A Toronto-based club will no longer offer free services to former Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard after the star announced his move to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard has finally decided to take his talents to LA. Just a few days ago, Leonard’s transfer from the Toronto Raptors to the Los Angeles Clippers arguably became the biggest move in NBA free agency this year. As a result, an establishment in the city of Toronto has expressed their disapproval.

Last year, an adult club called Zanzibar took part in welcoming Leonard back when there was buzz about him not really being pleased with becoming a Raptor. The club included the NBA superstar in its marketing approach as they publicly announced that Leonard is welcome in their establishment.

Zanzibar club also came up with the catchy statement: “Hello Kawhi, Bye Bye DeMar.”

But just recently, it appears that Zanzibar club had been deeply affected by the NBA free agency happenings -- specifically by their former superstar’s decision to switch to LA. The club has released a statement saying that it will no longer offer free services for Leonard shortly after news that the Finals MVP had finally agreed to sign with the Clippers broke.

Indeed, the city of Toronto has become very involved in the NBA these past few days, especially when the former Raptors star was still in the process of making his final decision. In fact, just about a week ago, it was reported that a helicopter chased Leonard as he arrived in Toronto.

According to Fox Sports, Leonard reportedly flew from Los Angeles to Toronto on Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment’s private plane. The NBA star was followed to the Hazelton Hotel, where he was reportedly scheduled to meet with Raptors president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster. At that point though, frenzied fans and the media had already lined up along the street outside the hotel.

To this day, the NBA world is still buzzing about the Leonard-Clippers deal which also involved Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George. Leonard reportedly met with George in LA to persuade the All-Star guard to join him as he signs with the Clippers.

Regardless of what the truth is about the Clippers deal, the fact remains that Leonard and George will now play together and expected to bring the championship back in LA next season.
