  • Tottenham's Harry Kane has been struggling to score goals this season
  • Manchester City has reportedly finalized a decision regarding Kane
  • The Spurs are being linked to a move for a remarkable striker in January

Tottenham Hotspur is expected to search for a solution to its goal drought in the next transfer window.

This past summer, Harry Kane was among the biggest draws in the market.

Manchester City was among the reported favorites to land the England captain, but instead, the Citizens only managed to sign Jack Grealish.

Ahed of the January transfer window, Kane’s name is being thrown in transfer rumors once again.

However, Manchester City will no longer be interested, per reputable transfer insider Dean Jones.

"There's no sign of it,” Jones told Give Me Sport of the possibility of Manchester City pursuing Kane in January.

“[Manchester] City were pretty clear in the summer that they were in for him, in conversations and briefings, that Kane was on the agenda along with Grealish and that was that,” he continued. “And since it all fell through, they seem pretty adamant in the fact that they're not going back in for him."

At the time, Kane was just waiting for a word from Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici regarding his future with a huge amount of money believed to be involved.

In the end, the Spurs did not cash in on Kane and Paratici insists that there’s no regret at all.

"Harry Kane loves Tottenham,” the Spurs chief said last month. “We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the rebuilding, and we’re happy with our choice.”

“There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs.”

As it stands, Tottenham has not been doing well this season. The club is the lowest goal-scoring team in the English Premier League as Kane seems to have failed to continue his hot streak last season.

Earlier this month, the Spurs began revamping the squad by appointing renowned manager Antonio Conte as the club’s new boss.

Conte is expected to play an active role in Tottenham’s recruitment, and there have been a few players already on the team’s radar. Among them is West Ham United striker Michail Antonio.

In an attempt to bring in a consistent goal scorer next year, Tottenham might consider launching a swoop for Antonio in January, per Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.

The report said that the Spurs could be willing to spend for the 31-year-old, who has been scorching this season for the Hammers.

To date, Antonio has already bagged seven goals across all competitions, and the Spurs are believed to have already kept tabs on his situation.
